Which radiators is the EITAN fan suitable for?

Eitan is suitable for all types of radiators; with panel or cast-iron radiators it increases heating output by 50–100%, and with convector radiators by as much as 200–500%. It consumes only 1–5 W of power and remains very quiet at 18–27 dBA.

The fan is available in 5 lengths. Ideally, the fan length should match the radiator length, or be slightly shorter (e.g., if supply pipes take up part of the space under the radiator).

How does the Eitan fan increase radiator performance and save money?

The Eitan fan draws in cool air at floor level and pushes it through the radiator, speeding up heat exchange and increasing radiator output by up to 100%. Thanks to the higher output, you can lower the heating water temperature and save approximately 20% on energy costs. Forced convection also shortens the time it takes to heat the room.

How is EITAN better than a standard axial fan used, for example, in computer coolers?

First and foremost, the Eitan fan is truly inaudible and delivers a uniform airflow.

By contrast, a typical small fan needs high RPM and high airflow velocity to achieve the desired output. That results in more noise, and the narrow, fast-moving jet not only blows on a small area of the radiator but also creates a cooling draft.

Another key benefit of the Eitan fan is year-round utility. In winter it boosts heating; in summer it can make a living room feel like an open terrace thanks to a pleasant, silent breeze; and at any time it helps dry laundry several times faster.

Where do the savings from using the EITAN fan come from?

It is not possible to calculate exact savings from using the Eitan fan, as this depends on many factors. However, it is safe to say that owners of condensing boilers and heat pumps save the most—around 20%.

Of course, from a physics standpoint the law of conservation of energy applies: the energy supplied to the room must equal the amount of heat in the room.

What matters, however, is what happens to the energy we supply, starting right at the source (boiler, heat pump, heat exchange station). Everyone pays for the energy delivered to the heat source, not for the energy actually used—either directly (electricity, gas) or indirectly in the price of heat.

Every heat source operates with an efficiency inversely proportional to the heating water temperature (heated water). The higher the set temperature, the lower the efficiency. The first savings come from increased boiler/heat pump efficiency due to lowering the heating water temperature.

Before the heat reaches where we need it, it travels through piping. Heat losses are directly proportional to the temperature difference between the surroundings and the heating water. In other words, the lower the heating water temperature, the lower the losses. Further savings arise from reduced transmission losses on the way to the room.

Once we have HEAT (kW/h) in the room, that is not what we actually feel. Heat from a radiator spreads primarily by radiation. This means the farther we are from the radiators, the cooler it feels. A large portion of the energy also accumulates near the ceiling. The final source of savings comes from efficient heat distribution within the room.

Is it difficult to install an Eitan fan?

Installation is very easy—truly anyone can do it. The fan can be mounted to the radiator without tools using an ALU console or simply placed under the radiator. The power cord length is 1.5 m. A built-in temperature sensor ensures automatic operation.
